Coursework Finals

So for my coursework final my theme was abstract versus realism so I decided to use a number of techniques to achieve this
My main running theme was mood colour produced, so though choosing abstract colourings of faces I painted in different styles here were just a few:

This one is based on Picasso's 'Blue Nude'

Then I tried a similar mood/colour approach in a different medium: watercolour but instead of a single face I chose 3 moods and painted it as a triptych

Then for my final piece I decided to continue with this idea of a 3, but painted 3 A1 oil paintings of happy, angry and pensive keeping strong colour themes throughout each face:

Happy-

Angry-

Pensive-

And as a final three combined-

Crying Because of Art

Now to do this properly:

A while ago I did a large selection of watercolour lips pressed up against glass. (Don't ask)
So here's my two favourites in black and white!

Watercolour has got to be one of my favourite mediums ever, apart from oils but they both work fabulously for different things. Anyway these 'lips' were inspired by a gorgeous artist called Marion Bolognesi, if you've never seen her work then just sit tight because it will be on this blog post once I've finished writing and I can go get pictures.
So, Bolognesi-

I find her work so pretty, and that 'pretty' is the only true way to describe it. Especially as its normally in pinks and blues and golds. I used her as an inspiration for my final pieces in Lower 6 coursework, here is a little bit, I dont actually have that many pictures from it but these are the ones I have:

Few bits leading up to the Final:
