Goodbye 2014

Knitted Cardigan - Primark
Fluffy Scarf and Headband - London Christmas Markets
T - H&m
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - La Moda

Hello lovelies readers,
I hope you all had a faab christmas! Cannot believe this is my last post of 2014, it has been an awesome year and I'd say my blogging has come on a lot since I started about 6 months ago. It still amazes me how many of you read my blog and I dedicate this fluffy post to you!! Obviously without you beautiful people, this would just be a site full of pictures of me... that only I look at. Which would be weird. Anyway, thanks you are all really gr8. I really appriciate it, you have given me a so much more confidence, especially in dressing how I want, and well just being sassy fulltime.

I was going to make a 'What to Wear' on NYE post, but I hardly dress up, and tonight I will be rocking a pair of jeans and trainers so I felt there was no point. Instead, lucky you, you got my casj look of the month!! I never understand why people get so aggro santos on NYE, I love it. But anyway, went a bit 'fancy' for this post and made my hair cute for you all, and if that doesn't show love I don't know what would! I even re-painted my nails so that I could have pretty hands. You can tell I thought they looked good because they creep into basically every picture. They even matched my headband. Fluff is great. I never usually buy hairbands like above because they don't go over my hair but this was a christmassy pres, so I will be personally working that updo. And the scarf, well it's soft so It won me over. You can never have enough faux fur.

Don't you find when you buy something new, or get given something new you literally wear that item non stop for about a month, that's what's been happening with this luuuuuuuuscious cardi (mum word). Primark knits do the job, and although they slyly keep trying to put up their prices, I will never stop buying them. Even when I'm old and rich and can afford that Acne Studio's sheepskin jacket. (For a mere 2 grand you could make me an extremely happy lady - link here) But for real, if you haven't been there recently, I seriously advise it.

Anyway, I need to go get ready. Woo.
I wish you all a happy and healthy new years!!!!!
RETURN SOON
LOVE AND HUGS

If you haven't had a chance to hear it yet, go check out my girl Karmi's song with Perplexus. Download it, share etc it's on itunes too so you can buy it---

Hola,
Seeing as we're coming into the winter months, I thought I would do an inbetween-y outfit, one that is a perfect transitional from autumn to winter. Obviously I would this teamed with a massive coat and probably 5 pairs of tights, but for blog benefit I froze my butt off and went without. So the past two weeks have been pretty busy (hence the lack of posts) but now I have finished uni for the term and sent off my UCAS, so hopefully (fingers, toes, arms and legs crossed) I will get into one of my 5 choices!! If you have been wondering what I've been doing, simply click on this link - Fashion and Textiles blog to see, it is the analytical side of my course, so if you want to see pictures just check my instagram (link at the side of the page) The course has been pretty full on and I would be lying if I said I wasn't glad it's done for the term! If you are considering an art based degree, I really recommend doing some sort of art foundation first. It will 100% show you if it is the right course for you to continue onto at degree level!! So many people I know have dropped out after picking the wrong course, and honestly this foundation diploma has been one of the best things I've ever decided to do.

Anyway, life lesson over. If you have read my blog before you will probably have noticed I'm a bit of a fan of jewelry, and jewelry in particular that I have bought, or been bought from markets around the world. I think there is something so awesome about going to a place, having a million memories and being able to wear that anytime, anywhere. It's always subtle because you can never tell where they're from, but I love it. So, xmas is coming up................................................................................ hint x
I am THO excited for Christmas, I get to go to Cambridge to see my fam and eat enough food for 3 people and get pressies and give pressies, probably my favourite time of year. Even these earrings look like little Christmas trees, the excitement is real.

But yeah, sidetracking.
I will hopefully be uploading LOTZ this holiday as long as I'm not working too much.
Oh and also, I am selling lots of bits (most of it gross) on my ebay, so have a little lookie - elsmis2010 some of it is nice lol

TA FOR RETURNING
Big love
(come back soon)

I repeat-
(If you don't want to get me a Christmas pressie, then I will accept you following my other social media's as a gift instead.)

Bauble Gloves

Coat - Gant
Turtleneck Dress/Top - Ellesse
Silk Scarf and Hoops - Bastille Markets
Necklace - Portuguese Coin on Chain
Gloves - No idea soz
Sparkly Socks - Primark
Shoes - La Moda
Lip liner - 08 'Red Blush' (Superdrug for like £1)

Hey hey!!
I've worked out how to balance my blog and my uni work now, so I'm back to posting once a week. Yay.
*cheer erupts from the crowd*
If you know me well, you will notice that the above outfit is basically what I wear everyday; an over-sized turtleneck top that I used to wear skiing as a dress, pair of tights and either boots or trainers. Not even joking, the amount of these turtlenecks I have my wardrobe looks like Homer Simpsons. You literally can't go wrong with this, it's pretty much all black meaning you don't have to think about clashing what you're wearing with your coat and it is amazingly comfy. Nothing tight so you can eat 5 meals that day, and it is almost acceptable to wear out to dinner if you were having a good face and hair day.

But obviously, as this is a 'style' blog, I decided to jazz it up a bit for you all. How snazzy are these gloves, well fingerless things?!?!? My mum's friend bought them for me as an 18th birthday pressie, and I've rediscovered them. They are actually cashmere or something else fancy, making me feel a bit prestige. I did actually try to pick off the balls (lol), but eventually decided it wasn't worth it. They're like a Christmas tree on my hands!! I'm a walking bauble. On that note, 32 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! So if any of you loooooooooooovely people feel like sending me gifts I wouldn't object, I'm not picky, so send away!!!

Red lips are very christmassy aren't they. But I always find with my Mac 'Russian Red' as its matte, my lips get soo dry so wearing it, and in Winter it's an absolute mare. But this colour actually stays on pretty well and it was only £1. (£1?!?!?!!?) I've always found with things like eyeliner and lip liners the cheap ones are as good as the expensive, and even if they aren't... you've lost like a pound so it's not really the end of the world. Superdrug stock thousands, it's like a secret liner world.

I'm still searching for the 'perfect' winter coat, but I don't know whether I'm feeling a sheepskin aviator jacket or like a long wool duster, if you lot know of great places to get either PLS let me know. I can't go on like this without one. *dramatic swoon*
SO YE.

That is all for this week!
Thanks for visiting, love to you all!!

Feeling Thigh High

Dress - American Apparel
Knit - Topshop
Bra - Adidas
'ellie' Necklace - Prague Markets
Rings - Worldwide
Socks - Primark
Pashmina - Could be anywhere really..
Boots/Coat - (Mums)

Hey hey!!
I am finally back, and how I have missed you all. This month has been completely mad with uni bits, and I can't believe it's been nearly a month since I last had the chance to post. *sad face*
I'm feeling uploading posts of what I've been doing within Uni too, just because it's actually pretty cool and exciting for me. (I made my first garment the other week eek!!!)

So, as you may have noticed, it is officially Autumn now, so aside from having a dress on that my mum would describe as a belt, I thought thigh boots and socks redeemed it. Shnuggly. Wearing multiple clothes, or what fashionista's call "layering" is the best for this weather. Not sure whether it is just me or what, but as I get the tube to uni, the difference in temperature between tube, outside and uni is disgusting. Without my trusty layering, I would probably pass out, like a menopause for the 19 year old, or something less disturbing.

Anyway, I am literally seeing thigh high boots everywhere at the moment?!! Maybe it's a Kylie Jenner inspo, but I hope not. But whatev, I semi-jumped onto that bandwagon. As I don't own any of my own, I found that my mum does.. which means I now do too. The joy's of having the same size feet! This dress is that classic velvet bodycon from AA, 3/4 years old, but it is perfect. I thought i'd make it more interesting by putting this sports bra thingy underneath, and layering with various textures, like knit, jersey and shiny stuff like the coat and shoes, because I'm wild like that. And what's the point of uploading a dress without alterations that everyone has seen a million times!

If you have read previous posts, you will notice how I often mention that my hair reflects the weather in pictures. It is so orange here! I am like a walking Autumnal flower. That, with a mixture of the artistic light behind me, all I can say is I'm basically Katnis Everdeen (girl on fire.. obviously). On that note, I am SO excited for the new Hunger Games film to come out, which I think is this Thursday?! If you haven't seen them yet, watch them. They are awesome. Did I just google 'Katnis gif' for 10 minutes? Oh I might have done... you are welcome.

(me x)

Anyway, got distracted, but my personal statement awaits which really is a bundle of sunshine to write, so I'm off!! *cries*

Goodbye lovely readers,
I will really try to keep posts more often!
See ya on the flip side.

Socially Acceptable Tracksuit

Trousers - Adidas Vintage
Jumper - Mum's Wardrobe
Belt - Vintage
Fedora - H&m
Socks - Topshop
Shoes - Superstar II by Adidas

Finally got round to shooting a new Ootd, life has been seriously hectic recently so you will have to excuse my very un-made up face. But here it is, the almost socially acceptable tracksuit outfit. Probably should have ironed these trousers before I put them on, but they're that weird fabric that constantly creases so there's never much point. I found these gems when I was in Bristol in February time last year with my friend at a vintage shop thing, they're 100% silk so they feel unreal to wear and they only cost me £15. My only problem with them is how wide they are around the hips, like hammer-time trousers.. not the most flattering. Normally I would wear these with some sort of cute crop top to balance out the Kim K bum they give me but seeing as Autumn is officially here, it's too cold for that nonsense.

Which brings me onto the strange occurrence with my hair, it seems to reflect the season.. and now that the leaves are orange-y.. I'm becoming even more ginger, very odd. Not that I mind, Ariel was always my favourite Disney Princess. On the subject of hair, however much I love this hat, it doesn't hold very well unless my hair is straight which is such a shame because I really love it, so if any of you curly girlies have tips for that, they are extremely welcome here. And no, bobbie pins don't work.

My new babies were my 19th birthday pres from my parents, and they are the best. (I'm 19 how old is that?!?) Not sure why I haven't ventured to Adidas Originals before, because they are super (get it) comfy and they come in my size!!!!!! Ye the excitement is real friends, adult shoe's finally fit me. I was considering getting the suede ones, but I felt after my boks' I didn't need two green suede trainers, seemed a little excessive even if green is the best colour. I've seen a few white versions of these around but I thought I would really go wild and get the black ones, which I lav.

I still can't believe how much support blogging has got me and it is honestly the best thing I have ever decided to do with my spare time. So I thank you all for reading it and sharing it etc etc it means a lot! That's the most emotion I can produce right now, but you are all just really gr8 and know that I love every one of you who visits.
BIG LOVES

Parisian Pardy

Bonjour mes petits amis!
I am back for ma weekly post, and its time for another travel post. As you may know, if you often read my blog and caught last weeks post I spent this past weekend in Paris! It was my first time there and I honestly have never been soooo speechless at how beautiful a city can be, and how sad I am to be home. But anyway, here's a little mash-up of some of my pictures, sights I saw, what I wore, places I visited etc..
Jouir!

Duster Kimono Thingy - Primark
Vest - TK Maxx
Leggins - Berska
Boots- La Moda
Sunglasses - eBay

The Pompidou Center, Louvre, Notre Dame et al

Jeans (Hand dyed) - Asos
Vest - H&m
Boots - La Moda

Bastille Food Markets

Some loved the attention of the camera..

Various Street 'entertainment'

And the best bit, the food..

To conclude, I am supremely fat since my return and really quite sad! But it has definitely been checked off my list of places to visit and I tried my first (and second and third) souffle so the bucket list is going well. The only person I kissed in front of the Eiffel Tower was my mum and my main romances were with the crazy recorder player in the Bastille market and a man who asked me to join in a Parisian dance.. but hey, you can't have everything!

Merci et au revoir!!
Baisers
