Hola readers!

So the weather has been a bit shitty, and following an extreeemely muddy weekend at Secret Garden Party, I felt it was time to bring some beachy vibes back into your life, and well.. into mine. Nothing cheers me up quite like looking through holiday photos and we took some beautiful ones in Barcelona so here they are! If you didn't check it out before, Danie (instagram: @_luciaphotography), my wonderful best friend AND incredible photographer has been shooting these past few posts, so have a look at her page and give it a follow. 

I'm aware FitFlops are hilarious looking, but they are soo comfy and I don't care. Based on the insane views on my previous fitness post, small tip; these badboys have been the easiest way to tone my legs without having had the chance to go running or keep up with my normal regimes during the intense Barcelona heat. They actually have a 50% sale right now so I'd get in there before other fashionista's grab them all lmao.

I know summer brings that ridiculous stress to look perfect in a bikini but a lot of feeling good about yourself doesn't actually come from looking good. Not that I'm so great at it either, but it all starts with believing you look good and deserve to feel it! Blogging has been my outlet for that, finding a way to feel good about yourself whilst building your own confidence at the same time. Hope I've cheered up your rainy days and also you've enjoyed catching up!

Hey hey!!

I am finally back, and how I have missed you all. This month has been completely mad with uni bits, and I can't believe it's been nearly a month since I last had the chance to post. *sad face*

I'm feeling uploading posts of what I've been doing within Uni too, just because it's actually pretty cool and exciting for me. (I made my first garment the other week eek!!!) 

So, as you may have noticed, it is officially Autumn now, so aside from having a dress on that my mum would describe as a belt, I thought thigh boots and socks redeemed it. Shnuggly. Wearing multiple clothes, or what fashionista's call "layering" is the best for this weather. Not sure whether it is just me or what, but as I get the tube to uni, the difference in temperature between tube, outside and uni is disgusting. Without my trusty layering, I would probably pass out, like a menopause for the 19 year old, or something less disturbing.

Anyway, I am literally seeing thigh high boots everywhere at the moment?!! Maybe it's a Kylie Jenner inspo, but I hope not. But whatev, I semi-jumped onto that bandwagon. As I don't own any of my own, I found that my mum does.. which means I now do too. The joy's of having the same size feet! This dress is that classic velvet bodycon from AA, 3/4 years old, but it is perfect. I thought i'd make it more interesting by putting this sports bra thingy underneath, and layering with various textures, like knit, jersey and shiny stuff like the coat and shoes, because I'm wild like that. And what's the point of uploading a dress without alterations that everyone has seen a million times! 

If you have read previous posts, you will notice how I often mention that my hair reflects the weather in pictures. It is so orange here! I am like a walking Autumnal flower. That, with a mixture of the artistic light behind me, all I can say is I'm basically Katnis Everdeen (girl on fire.. obviously). On that note, I am SO excited for the new Hunger Games film to come out, which I think is this Thursday?! If you haven't seen them yet, watch them. They are awesome. Did I just google 'Katnis gif' for 10 minutes? Oh I might have done... you are welcome.

Croatia, a Bit of Everything Really..

So this was just a cheeky Ootd I did whilst at the end of my inter-railing trip, in the small Island of Hvar. Hvar is just off the coast of Split, one of the main cities in Croatia. Excuse the boobiez, its difficult to remain modest when 'ootd'ing a beach outfit.

I have been looking for a floppy hat forever, and I know eBay do a millliioooon of them from Hong Kong or Tokyo, but I wanted one for holiday, and ordering from those sorts of places normally takes 3-4 weeks to come, so it was out the question. Anyway I found this cute one and it was only 100 Kuna, which is about £9/£10, so not baaaaad.

Thought I'd add in just how SASSY my nails were, shout out to danie's diamonte. Nothing shouts fashionista like a set of fluorescent orange acylics with diamonte and flowers.

I do actually have many pictures from the 'private' beach we went to everyday. All the beaches in Croatia are pebble beaches, but they also have huge rocks which are like classic cliff jumping sorts. Anywho, here they are;

Inter-railing, Part 2

This is merely a continuation of my previous travel post, so I shall not "waffle" (lol) on at all...

THIRD STOP
Prague, Czech Republic

I think prague was one of my favourite places, so so pretty like really beautiful place. The people were lovely, and it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cheap. We stayed at Hostel Orange, the cutest little hostel in the center of one of the main sqaures, that I can't remember the name of but it had some manor house thing at one end of it which looked pretty awesome at night. Apart from the lack of lift, which meant carrying a 20kg suitcase up 7 flights of stairs it was so lovely, definitely recommend it!

Soz for the awful quality, was taken on my phone - but here is the manor thingy;

On one day in the square there were these two musicians playing random drums and pipes and things, I didn't get a chance to catch all of it on camera, but here's a video of what I did get;

Keeping true style throughout the trip, especially in Prague, I had my classic 4 way plaits in- like this:

FORTH STOP

Vienna, Austria

So, I can't lie here... we didn't see Austria, it rained non stop so we only left the hostel once, and that was to go out to Ride, some random club that was a sort of weird version of Mahiki.. but Austrian. Anyway, the station was bloody amazing so I got a few pics of that...

FIFTH STOP
Budapest

SO WE WENT TO A ZOO YE, n paddle boated on a big lake. Was pretty cool.
Budapest was awesome, I will be returning soon.

Inter-railing, Part 1

So as you may know I spent a month inter-railing (travelling around Europe by train) with my two best friends Danie and Karmi, I left on the 1st of July and came back on the 24th. Okay so not a month, 3 weeks, but whatever. It was honestly one of the most amazing expereiences of my life and now, after having a taster of 7 cities I know where I want to return and how to backpack. Life skills indeed.

This post isn't going to be an in depth story of my trip as essay writing isn't my forte! But more of a montage of my photography from each place with a few anecdotes. As there are so many pictures, I will probably split the cities into 2 or 3 blog posts.

FIRST STOP
Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Starting off in the square, there's this huge monument, with (I'm assuming) jesus and disciples etc, and many enormous buildings. Amsterdam is quite 'toy town' like, colourful houses and small shops etc. Extremely pretty yet very very strange city..

Weirdly, like Venice.. although not like Venice as there are roads, each street is separated by canals.. that all look the same. Below is the canal in which our hostel The Bulldog (just in case you want to go) was located, bang in the middle of Dam Center and The Red Light District.

There was quite a lot of street art, I took pictures of some of my favourites. Below of course; Frida Kahlo, Mandela and I think some of the Sopranos?

We visited various iconic places, such as the Van Gogh Museum and Vondel Park. Vondel Park is the park mentioned in 'The Fault In Our Stars' sooo ye.

SECOND STOP
Berlin, Germany

In Berlin we did this awesome tour of the underground art and graffiti movements, and I took millions of pictures, but here is just a few:

How cool, this astronaut below, when the sun illuminates a flag on a building opposite it, it lines up with the mans hand looking like he's placing it in the ground on the moon. That's brainy.

The YAAM bar was a Jamaican Beach Bar located next to part of the Berlin Wall, entirely run by people who live around it, it is a self sustaining place. Supposidly (although not very believable) the sand in the bar was transported from Jamaican Beaches. I got a really sassy pair of beaded earrings from here, and I shall feature them in a later post.

The final place we visited on the tour was a bar/graffiti location where it was legal for artists to come and paint on the walls as one guy owned it, meaning that weekly the art changed as new artists painted onto the walls.

This post is already really long, so I shall leave it at Amsterdam and Berlin. Hope you enjoyed it, and it inspires you to visit places we went to! More cities to come, keep an eye out for my next posts!
