Ripped Jeans- 'Inspired'

So I was reading ma gurls blog (Ella) and I came across a ripped jeans tutorial
The 'how to' link is here:
The Original Post on Ripped Jeans
Her Blog is called 'ella violetta' and the link is here- ELLA'S BLOG

The tutorial shows you how to make rips into jeans, and I also added in my own homemade ripped jeans at the end, as a sort of 'response thing' to her blog.. there is no stealing here, simply reblogging.
blogga 2 blogga love only.

Anyway, this is her tutorial
AND IT HAS PICTURES, so even less work for me.

DIY | Ripped Distressed Jeans

1) Use a light coloured pencil/tailor's chalk to mark out the lines you'll cut for your rips. Make the lines about 1-1.5cm apart.

2) Using your fabric scissors cut horizontally across the lines you made. You can make the lines different lengths to make the distress-ness more interesting and stuff.

3) Ok so now is the tricky bit, start pulling at the fabric. You need to go to one side of the cut and start pulling out the vertical threads, as shown in the picture. Removing these threads will leave you with just the horizontal threads! Make sure you go along the whole strip, removing all the vertical threads. Trust me, it gets easier as you go along.

5) The more you do it, the more it should look like this. See how the vertical threads have been removed? Beauts.

6) Continue to cut in different places where you want your distress-ness to be. If you have any straight cut edges, make sure you fray them to make them look even more distressed! Get a pair of small scissors (found these tiny ones in a sewing kit). Open them up and start rubbing the blade up and down along the straight-cut edge. Do this until you develop the fray you want.

- If you want the distress-ness and fraying to be enhanced even more, throw the finished jeans into the wash with one old trainer. The trainer will bash against the jeans in the washer, making the denim softer, adding to the frays as well!

AND THIS IS MY RESPONSE................................................................
I know this wasnt a real blog post because I stole someone else's, but all I actually wanted to do was show the jeans I did myself
Here is my final product:
I'm pretty happy.. it was actually relatively easy, so everyone go ruin your perfectly good clothes!

How To - Sushi

Ah, now ive got all of your young attention...
This post, rather ironically is actually about sushi, and I'm writing it.. on the way to Sushimania in Edgware. The main reason for starting this post is a 'How To' on sushi, in which I will learn to make sushi, and then force my new knowledge upon you readers to also learn to make sushi. Fishy fun.

Anywho,
If you can't be bothered to read this, here is a link to a youtube video on how to make sushi

1. SUSHI TUTORIAL VIDEO
2. THE SECOND PART OF THIS VIDEO SORRY DID'NT REALISE IT WAS IN TWO PARTS
Listen to the way he says 'sticky,' its fabulous.

OKAY
So I watched the video and I no longer wish to attempt to make it, but I will upload a step by step of someone else making it.

NB: The titles and instructions of this 'How To' are not written by me, but I enjoyed the puns, as will you. Especially on 'getting busy with rice' that was my favourite section.

Things you'll need to make sushi

A bamboo mat
Nori
Sushi rice
Fillings (fish and or vegetables to your liking).

1. "The rough side of the nori"

Feel the nori sheet from both sides and you will find one side to be a bit smooth and the other a little rough. The nori should lay on the rolling mat with the rough side facing upwards.

2. "Getting busy with rice"

Get your hands wet, and make about a handful of rice to a ball of rice. It's important to keep your hands wet while working with sushi rice because it is sticky. When you work with the nori though, you should keep them as dry as you can. That is why you should have a bowl of water (with a bit of rice vinegar added to it) and a dry hand-towel nearby when making sushi.

RICE

3. "The spread"

Gently put the rice ball in the middle of the nori sheet, and start spreading it equally on the nori, creating a layer of rice covering almost the entire sheet except the upper margin of about 2 cm that should be kept uncovered. Later on, the margins need to be empty of rice in order to close to sushi roll properly. Be careful not to compress the rice, but merely spread it over the nori.

4."Can you fill this?" - this is just getting ridiculous.

Now it's time to place a slice of fish (preferably no more than one) on the edge of the nori, along with 1-3 pre-cut slices of vegetables (carrot, cucumber, green onion, asparagus, and so on... allow yourself to get wild on this matter). - THEY WROTE THAT NOT ME.

5."Commence the rolling sequence"

Using the closer edge of the rolling mat, close on the filling with the nori making a rectangular shaped hill and tighten it from above.

6."continue the rolling sequence"

Move forward, continue rolling in the rectangular hill steps, keeping it tight with every move until you reach the end of the nori. Put pressure on the roll from all three sides at all time, especially on stops to allow it to roll tightly.

7."And....cut!"

Use a wet, sharp knife to cut the roll in to little sushi units. 6-8 units per roll - that's your call.

OKAY YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS SUSHI TUTORIAL ITS BEAUTIFUL

GOOD NEWS
After watching all these videos and researching I have decided to attempt this, so look forward to a blog post of my sushi making with a FULL photoshoot of me and sushi xxxxxxxxxxxx

Yung Artist

The main theme of this blog is art and stuff, and I feel like I've always wanted to do art but then I discovered my old art 'works' and there are almost no words..
In advance I was clearly a self obsessed child and most of my drawings were of myself...

So this is from about 5 years old:
As people say it's clearly important to have knowledge of our country etc, so here I was, aged 5, writing history with my artistic talent.

Anyway so mid story in my book of the life of the monarchy obviously I added in a selfie:
This is me, playing the piano for the queen clearly something that happened.

Moving on a year, the talent continues, here I decided to draw various members of my family, I hope you can recognise who's who because I know I can.

Oh here I am again..

My Mum and my great grandma were clearly the same bald women in my eyes:

Another self portrait of me with my house, of which I am similar height. Another realistic quality I thought of myself..

Here, this is someone swimming. Bare in mind the way I learnt to swim when i was 2, was by ignoring the swimming teacher and only listening to the male assistant. Which I then swam, doggy paddle with my tongue out

Me being me:

Now moving on a few years, this is an illustration of little red riding hood. Pay attention to the decoration of how I viewed the grandmas house.

Look how pretty her light is lol

Oh and I know these aren't 'art' but these are brilliant literature so I think they're worth sharing.

"Lovely"

And that was the end.
