Lobster Darling

Dress - China
Harriet Bag - La Moda
Shoes - La Moda
Socks - eBay
Earrings - Forever21

Hola!
I know it's been a while but I've been crazy busy with uni stuff and haven't have aaaaaany time to give this blog some TLC, but HEY I am back, aaand with an 'ootd'... what could be better?!
Nothing. Nothing is the answer.

This outfit is a couple weeks old from my friend Funke's birthday dinner at the Lobster and Burger, but I really liked it so I thought it deserved a post. I won these La Moda goodies in their instagram competition which was so fab and they have quickly become my favourite shoes, so so comfortable and they make me the much less adorable, however much more normal height of 5'6" which is just fab. If you want to check out the original blog post I did about the things I won, click here, the magic link will take you there people.

I never really was into the oversized bag thing as carrying something on my arm always seemed pointless and annoying, but now I have one it's a whoooole new story. This one has a long strap for your shoulder so no awkward arm, and ever since my prom dress I've decided red is the ultimate colour, so choosing which bag I wanted was easy. As you'll probably notice if you keep up with my posts it is quite rare for me not to wear this sort of jewellery, so of course I am armored with over-sized earrings, a classic move. Although I am constantly torn between hoops and chandelier style, and after leaving my favourite hoops on a train *cries* I've resorted back to big and bold.

Anyway, as previously said in a million blog posts, China is bae. Especially China on eBay.................or eBAE, if you know what I mean.

You don't know what you're missing out on until you enter the Asian shopping world on eBay, you can literally buy ANYTHING. From a whole lace catsuit to toilet supplies, it's great. Not that I buy either of those things.. but you follow my point. I've worn this dress every way it could possibly be worn, from clubbing to beach wear to dinner to casual, love me a bit of versatile clothing. I can already tell you're desperate to see this worn another way, have no fear my lovely reader, just click this cute little link.

If you've never been to this restaurant, you should. It was epic. I have never had lobster 'whole' before and they literally bring you a lobster (dead) on a plate. [See above picture] with garlic butter, the buffest chips and a salad. You even get a bib (cute) and a little hand wipe (uber cute). You know that scene in 'When Harry Met Sally'... I was Sally in this moment. And trust me you want what I had. Although saying that, using those plier thingy's in a public place was a nightmare, lobster was literally flying everywhere. Lil' bit of advice, don't take someone on a date there, it's very messy. And not in the sexy way.

Anywho!
As always, thanks for stopping by, any support is extremely welcome.
The love giving is at a large here!!

Crotchet Crop Top - eBay
Bandeu - H&m
Trousers - TKMaxx
Earrings - Topshop
Scrunchie - Local Pharmacy ........................ no not DIY soz
Rings - Present from Kp and Camden Markets
Handmade Rucksack - Israeli Vintage Shop

So I hit 15,000 views today which is very exciting and all!!!!

Here's a little 'Ootd' to celebrate, bit of a summer outfit, or maybe a festival lookbook. These trousers are just beaut, although when I wore them out last week a guy came up to me and I quote "woah, really digging the whole pyjama vibe you've got going on, awesome".........................................they aren't pyjamas mate. Oh how I love a good backhanded compliment in the morning.

Anyway, not too much to say about this one, just love a bit of pattern clashing and it seems colour is the new black! yeah yeah 'Orange' too (orange skort ootd will follow) (see what I did there, now you have something to look forward to) (you're welcome lol) Crochet seems to be the look of this festival season, if anyone knows how to do it let me know because I would love to learn, yeah I tried teaching myself..... unsuccessful. This top is v versatile btw, can be worn both ways, as in back and front...not inside out. Obviously with a top/bikini/bandeu underneath or it would be a true 'free the nipple' ad.

BUT HEY
Thank you so much if you've been reading and supporting this blog, means the world and please continuing reading!

*me rn*

Chinese Beauties

Dress/Jumper - China <3 but eBay, link HERE
Belt - Vintage
Lace Bralette - Calvin Klein
Shoes - Boohoo
Earrings - Spanish Markets
Necklace - 18th bday pres, will find out and get back to you
Clutch - Fiorelli
Hair Donut  - Primark

Seeing as all of my outfits are daytime and casual, I thought I would spice it up a bit and do an evening look. No not quite black tie, but I can't say that's a look many people ever need to wear. So this beauty only £5.95 from Chinese eBay including postage?!?!?! is so so comfy, possibly greatest buy ever?
The best part about buying random stuff from Chinese eBay is that even if it looks awful, at the end of the day it probably only cost £5 and you can sell it on Depop for £20... Not that I do that.
My depop is here btw, check me out.

Boohoo have the most brilliant collection of heels for very reasonable prices, these despite being 6.5 inches are extremely comfortable, not that I can walk in them but whatever. They look good.

This necklace is the sweetest thing, my mum's best friend got it for me for my 18th last September and it is just beautiful. Do you remember when we were little and we all bought those quartz stones - like this

Well the necklace is simply one of those spray painted gold on a long chain, and it is soooo pretty. I know you aren't meant to mix silver and gold jewellery, but my gold version of the earrings I am wearing have lost 1 earring, so alas.. stuck with silver.

Safe my lovelies

'On Wednesdays We Wear Pink'

So, I finally got the courage up to do an actual clothes post, and I'm new to this so try not to judge me too harshly. Thought seeing as it is the 10 year anniversary of Mean Girls, I'd do an inspired post of a 'Pink Wednesday' sort of outfit.

And here goes..

Oh and apology in advance for the 'mirror selfie,' the auto focus on my camera wouldn't, well.. focus on self timer so this was the only option. My mirror has weird lines running through it, so I apologise for that too.

Top - h&m (very old)
Shirt - Primark
Jeans - Can't actually remember but possibly also h&m, DIY ripped, click here for my tutorial post
Boots - Ebay, but this is the link for the person who sells them
Scrunchie - DIY

I have actually had four whole requests on a Scrunchie DIY tutorial, from real people!! So a post will follow soon, along with a 'How To' do french plaits on yourself as that has also been requested (fans x)

Happy Mean Girls Day!

Ugly Shoe Obsession

SO
seeing as most of the fashion today is reverting back to the 90s I feel I wanted to focus on feet.

It seems that almost all shoes that are in fashion at the min are hideous, and I won't lie I'm loving them, but when did heels go from elegant (slutty) stilletos to huge chunky block colour heels?
Jeffrey campbell seem to be the main cause of this by bringing in the 'Lita' which I think are hideous by the way, sorry If you have them
If you dont, here is what they look like:

Here are a few of my favourites: beware they are all ugly

1. BUFFALOS
Personally the shoes I always loved and wish I hadn't thrown out when I was 12 were my buffalos- retailing for way over £150 now I'm regretful. Although ugly, they're like a fabulous mix of trainers Vs rhinos with a lil platform.

2. JELLY SHOES
these I LOVE, and I just bought a pair of glittery clear ones but they smell kinda weird and my mum said no self respecting 18 year old should wear glittery shoes so she's making me sell them. Anyway, originally I wanted them in the turquoise colour but they weren't in stock. So, jelly shoes- featuring the hideously thick heel, weird grandma style front and childish buckle. The perfect shoe for summer minus the weird tan lines.

3. VAGABONDS (Don't know name of shoe sorry)
THESE, no one can deny they are truly hideous. But again, I'm a fan I like the fact that they girlify themselves by making the shoes in pastel colours. This shoe is the only way socks and sandals are a thing, especially clashing weird coloured socks.

4. DOC MARTENS
Not sure anyone should attempt to pull these off but if you can, you are brave. Not sure if they're unisex, but that's clearly the beauty of ugly shoes, the flatform on these is pushing new boundaries and looks like it's been stuck on to the wrong pair of shoes, giving it that sassy touch. Love.

5. LA MODA
I actually really like these, I even instagrammed them to try and win them. Not sure they completely comply with the ugly shoe theme, but they aren't exactly elegant. The beauty of these types of shoes is that they suit legs of any size, they're chunky enough that they make most legs look skinnier which is the huge bonus of heels. And again the cute-sy pink colour brings back that girly style. Luckily with shoes like these, the huge platform means they aren't that difficult to walk in, these are the best type of ugly shoes.

Finally,
6. BIRKENSTOCKS
now these I do not accept, they are ugly obsession gone wrong, and also my dad owns a white leather pair and no man should own white leather sandals. Also, you can buy vegan ones.. Vegan shoes. They're just like normal disgusting burkenstocks except they aren't leather so your feet will look weird and smell weird. Birkenstock also sell crocs, and I think that personally speaks for itself.

Yeah these aren't chic.. They are gross and they look like shoes that you'd put on a horse's hooves to protect them.
